This position reports to the Technical Manager. The main role of this position will be to focus on new product development and product improvements for Mercruiser stern drives.Primary Duties and Responsibilities provides engineering support in the area of mechanical component design and development.Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures,criteria, and judgment to assignments.Completes engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives.Develops and executes validation test plans at the component and system level.Directs the activities of CAD designer(s) and technicians assigned to a project.Interfaces with cross-functional team(s) as needed.
