Manager, Engineering Infrastructure
                                                                                                           
Position Summary

The Manager, Engineering Infrastructure manages a team of system and network engineers in developing efficient infrastructure systems, utilizing various technologies to help meet rapidly changing business needs in the areas of productivity improvement, cost reduction, regulatory compliance support, and business scalability. The Manager, Engineering Infrastructure is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and administration of processes and procedures that are used to ensure the reliability, recoverability, and optimum performance of servers, storage systems, and networks. In addition, the Manager, Engineering Infrastructure is responsible for both back-office infrastructure operations as well as new enterprise system implementations, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities include the following:

Recommend, plan, and implement infrastructure technology to support and meet the organization’s business requirements.
Ensure infrastructure is designed for reliability, availability, maintainability, security, and sustainability and drives internal processes to reflect highly available and reliable systems.
Work cooperatively with internal departments and serve as a resource for technology related issues.
Lead all infrastructure maintenance and upgrade efforts to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve competitive advantages.
Manage, motivate, delegate, and empower staff in the successful performance of their tasks and responsibilities while encouraging innovation.
Initiate and maintain contact with vendors to identify and document system requirements and set priorities, deliverables, and timelines.
Assess company needs, as well as collaborate with technology architects to develop long- and short-term strategies for servers, storage, operating systems, and configuration enhancements that support business and service-level objectives.
Create reports based on infrastructure monitoring and system performance metrics.
Manage the development, implementation, and administration of processes and procedures to ensure the reliability, recoverability, and optimum performance of servers, storage systems, and networks.
Be accountable for infrastructure project budgets as well as group staffing budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical discipline; experience and/or specific training may be considered in the absence of a degree; minimum of five (5) years of experience in Windows Server platforms, Active Directory 2003/2008 Domain administration, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Cisco networks, storage networks (NetApp, Sun, and EMC), VMWare virtualization, and Veritas backup systems; or an associate's degree and seven (7 years) of applicable experience, or nine (9) years of related technology experience, which includes:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in building, deploying, and managing Linux systems
A minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams in infrastructure planning, deployment, and maintenance
A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing data centers and cloud implementation projects
Experience working in a fast-pace environment, and working across multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational, communication and presentations skills
Results oriented, team player and self motivated
Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Ability to sit for an extended period of time, engage in continuous repetitive motion, type frequently, and lift up to 45 pounds
Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule of others on a long term basis (greater than 6 months)
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written word; compose, edit, and proof materials such as detailed reports, work related manuals, and publications for wide release
Ability to travel daily and overnight, as required
