Mainframe Phone Support Trainee






Training:
Training will last approximately 3-4 months and will begin by learning the available documentation and by gaining hands-on experience with other mainframe support technicians. Training continues by assisting on calls with current technicians.
Shift work is required and is rotated weekly. After training is completed and proficiency is achieved, you will be placed in the rotation for periodic on-call pager duty.
Requirements:
MIS degree, Associates degree, or military/civilian equivalent PC training is preferred but not required
PC skills
Professional verbal communication skills
Technical documentation skills are a plus
Previous customer or field service experience is a plus

Data Centre Technician

Responsible for performing device break-fix activities, participate in the on-call rotation and provide on-site assistance for device installations. You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.

Education:
Associate's degree in IT-related field plus two years of progressively responsible experience required.

Hardware Technician - Electronics

Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer support
Maintain and increase product knowledge through research and training
Research problems and customer inquiries to resolve issues
Log issues and resolutions into the CRM
Maintain a productive attitude in the workplace
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred
2 years experience testing electronics at the component level
2 years experience repairing electronics at the component level
Team oriented, flexible, and proactive self-starter who thrives in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make decisions independently while working in a fast paced environment.

Jr Linux Administrator

Provide Network/System backups, making sure data can be restored,
data is encrypted, tapes are moved offsite.
Making sure that the UPS and generator are up and running
Documenting any moves, adds, and changes within the data center,
such as server moves, builds, deployments, maintenance windows
Installing patches on Server (Windows Server 2003 and Linux and Unix
based systems)
Assist with application deployment, repair failed hardware

In addition this person must be very organized and would like someone that likes to experiment with different technology, must be very creative.
Top 4 Skill Sets:
1) Linux Administration, specifically installing, troubleshooting
configurations within applications, must understand Unix scripting for
automation such as Perl or bash.
2). Must be familiar with enterprise backup. Should be able to use Unix shell scripts to automate back-ups.
Must be familiar with storage concepts such as volume management,
Local Disk/LVM
3). Good organizational skills so that any change within the data center
can be documented.

Product Engineer

As part of the Core Engineering Team, the individual will be involved in the development of automotive safety products and air bag inflators.

The position requires hands-on design, development and build of established and new inflators for use in driver, passenger and side-curtain air bag deployment.  A strong mechanical aptitude to apply the understanding of airbag inflator design and assembly is necessary.

This position is responsible for product cost-cutting initiatives and yet still responsible to ensure compliance to all regulations and product integrity.

Well-rounded background working with design, build, test, and manufacturiing groups.

Knowledge of Solid Works is a plus.

Manufacturing Engineer - Tool Design

Will identify and design cost effective tools for the assembly, test or manufacture of products. Will recommend product design alternatives to reduce costs and to simplify manufacturing or assembly tooling. Work involves electro-mechanical tool design, and involves layout, design, dimensional / tolerance analysis. Will develop tooling costs, lead times.

Work with project engineers in reviewing tooling requests and recommending tooling concepts. Recommendations take into account volume requirements and practical manufacturing methods for efficient production. Prepare tooling layouts. Produce safe, detailed, ergonomic designs from agreed concepts. Select tooling materials and specify heat treatment requirements which ensure tooling longevity.


Software QA Manager / Functional

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of system/functional testers and analysts
  • Direct system/functional/regression testing for Copart software products and systems.
  • Evaluate/approve testability of requirements documents
  • Develop, manage, and execute test strategy, test plans, and test cases
  • Distribute test coverage and execute status reports
  • Manage defect life cycle reporting
  • Coordinate testing with development and QA teams
  • Plan staff resource needs by project

Qualifications / Experience

  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
