Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of system/functional testers and analysts
- Direct system/functional/regression testing for Copart software products and systems.
- Evaluate/approve testability of requirements documents
- Develop, manage, and execute test strategy, test plans, and test cases
- Distribute test coverage and execute status reports
- Manage defect life cycle reporting
- Coordinate testing with development and QA teams
- Plan staff resource needs by project
- Ensure testing staff is cross-trained on Copart products
- Mentor and motivate staff by instilling creativity, positivity, and teamwork
Qualifications / Experience
- BA/BS degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years hands-on management of software quality assurance teams
- 2-4 year’s software quality assurance experience
- Prior experience using/implementing Software Automation tools helpful but not required
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Detailed understanding of the test management life cycle
- Development and maintenance of a test plan repository.
- Proven track record of delivering quality products
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of SQL/relational database concepts
