Main Activities:
Providing high level ITSM consulting services to Oakton’s clients
Providing high-level architecture consulting services to Oakton’s clients
Defining solutions to major business problems across multiple industry, functional and technology domains
Leveraging more technical solution architects and other subject matter experts as needed to craft the best possible solutions
Providing “thought-leadership” on high-level architectural issues
Being a reference point for staff and clients around solution architecture and industry best practice
Leadership and mentoring of project teams, technical architects and other team members
Work closely with Project Managers to define, drive and manage projects by taking responsibility for the overall solution
Key Section Criteria:
Previous experience in a consulting environment – ‘Big 4’ or similar
Demonstrated strong consulting skills
Demonstrated strong communication skills – presenting, verbal, written, diagramming, etc – ability to communicate concepts clearly and succinctly
Recent experience in an ITSM consulting role on a major project
ITIL Master certification will be looked upon favourably
Recent experience in a consulting solution architecture role on a major project
Sound appreciation (but not necessarily detailed technical knowledge) of functional domains and packages such as CRM, ERP, etc
Sound appreciation (but not necessarily detailed technical knowledge) of technology such as SOA, BPM, Portals, workflow, collaboration, ECM, etc
Experience in leading and mentoring technical architects & business analysts
Some exposure to platforms from major vendors such as Oracle, IBM, SAP and Microsoft
Strong analytical skills across both technology and business domains
Ability to work with business users in defining requirements
Strong communication skills to with both business and technical staff
Other Features of the job:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required and if you have worked for a consulting house, it would be a significant advantage
