Manager, Quality Assurance

Job Summary:

Description

Position Overview:  The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for all Quality Assurance activities in a three shift, five to six day a week operation to meet company service, quality, cost, safety and people objectives. Includes the development, implementation and monitoring of all necessary programs. Direct reports include QA Supervisors, QA Line Technicians and QA Lab Technicians.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages compliance with all regulatory and Company defined food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures, and programs to guarantee absolute quality and food safety of products. Examples of these systems include:  Vendor Certification, Inbound and Outbound Inspection, Ingredient, Intermediate and Finished Product Inspection, Microbiological Testing, Product Traceability, HACCP, Allergen, Sanitation, Pest Control, and Food Safety and Quality Systems Training

Manages operations to maintain a SUPERIOR rating on third party inspections

Develops and implements new methods and procedures to improve quality and safety

Manages departmental activity to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards

Manages the Quality Assurance function to ensure highly disciplined compliance with all product and process quality parameters and standards including formulations, specifications, procedures, programs and systems. These systems include:

Product and process quality management system (Product Quality Guarantee)

Customer complaint investigations, resolution and tracking

Product quality evaluation

Foreign material contamination investigation, resolution, and tracking

Hold and release program.

Experience in food manufacturing management, preferably in the bakery/dessert industry, with demonstrated success at the Quality Assurance Manager level.

Strong quantitative skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to think critically.

Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work.

Some travel as required to vendors.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary:

The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include but are not limited to the following:

Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring that all work practices, procedures and systems are in place and are being adhered to accordingly.

Continually drive and improve safety performance through the development and implementation of new programs designed to mitigate risk and effectively instill a “safety first” culture at the site.

Direct   operations to ensure full compliance with all applicable environmental regulations

Plan, organize and direct all activities to ensure proper operation of site equipment and infrastructure (pre and post start-up).

Ensure efficiency in plant operations by working collaboratively with maintenance and technical personnel to achieve acceptable and sustainable equipment performance.

Provide strong leadership to the Columbus Operations team by being actively engaged in all operations activities.

Develop and oversee the operations plan and report performance to plan issues to the Plant Manager.

Develop and manage the operations budget, monitor spending for variance issues, and take corrective actions to resolve variances accordingly.

Manage workforce and staffing requirements by providing key input to the recruitment, interviewing and selection of new team members.

Ensure compliance training is complete for all operations personnel.

Confer routinely with senior management to ensure that operations objectives and business goals are being met.

Wind Turbine Design Engineers

Job Summary:

As Wind Turbine Design Engineer you will be responsible for the complete design and development of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), from low voltage electrical system, generator to controlling & monitoring systems. This involves design, modeling, simulation, instrumentation and documentation. The ideal candidate will have designed and analyzed wide range of wind turbine components.

General Skills: 
Significant experience as an Electrical Engineer in a Turbine Design environment. 
Must be conversant with design methodologies for wind turbine LV/MV power systems and generators.
Hands-on design and optimization experience of MW scale wind turbines.
Understand GL/IEC/DNV wind turbine design guidelines. 
Design experience with software tools: MATLAB, PSS/e etc. 
Knowledge in Power system dynamics, control and transient simulation; structural analysis and optimization of transverse flux permanent magnet machines using FEA etc. 
Knowledge in detailed calculations/prepare design documentation to compute and establish manufacturing, installation standards or specifications of Wind Turbines.
Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems. 
Assist in making design trade-off and options for next generation innovative WTGs.
Innovative and excellent problem solving with good communication and organizational skills.

Staff / Senior Staff Logic Design Engineer

Job Summary:

·         The ideal candidate should be a go-getter and a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work successfully with new technologies in ambiguous situations. 

·         He/She will work in a team to specify, generate and execute tests for new silicon designs, and define specialized SOC Design methodologies and platform. 

·         Besides excelling in defining and driving SOC design through system/subsystem architecture definition and product design activities; it is also essential to demonstrate ability to estimate, plan and coordinate a project, and to lead a team to execute flawlessly. 

·         The individual will need to Low Power Embedded technology and the SOC methodologies & techniques, working with the system architects, software and hardware groups in researching the frontiers of low power embedded technology, as well as familiarity in ARM or Intel Architecture and Chipset architecture; with two or more industry standard bus interfaces and protocols.
