Software Engineer/Developer with GUI experience!
Loking for a highly motivated Software Engineer/Developer to join the engineering team in a design/manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for all activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software for scientific/engineering applications and coordinate with project teams to translate detailed specifications into new or enhanced application solutions.
Additional responsibilities will include managing company intranet and other such activities.
Essential Responsibilities: Demonstrate command of multiple programming languages, basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage, and interfacing.
Develop, document and enforce application standards and procedures
Develop detailed analysis, design, construction, testing and technical specifications ensuring technical compatibility and integration•
Qualifications/Requirements•
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
Competency in programming/scripting languages such as C++, Visual Studio .NET
Experience and technical expertise with tools and techniques in application development using client server and web-based services (i.e. ASP, PHP, .NET, HTML, DHTML, XML etc)
•Hands-on experience in database technologies (i.e. MySQL, ADO.NET, MS SQL)Experience with production systems support and troubleshooting production issues, including software version control and managing multiple environments (Development, QA, Production, etc
Desired Characteristics
Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
Familiarity with mechanical engineering concepts a plus
