High School teacher – SCOAP program. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school academics, vocational and life skills to 14-22 year old students with moderate to intensive cognitive impairment and/or students on the autism spectrum. 

Middle School Teacher for students with Behavioral / Emotional Special Needs. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English/Reading and other subjects to students with behavioral / emotional and or learning disabilities or have experience working with students on the autism spectrum. We also have a 45 day assessment teacher opportunity. 

Alternative Education Middle School & High School Teachers. The ideal candidate will have experience in an alternative education setting teaching MS or HS students with emotional, behavioral and/or learning disabilities. 
Deliver and/or modify curriculum in alignment with the Curriculum Frameworks
Assess learning styles; plan and implement adequate and appropriate academic, social, and emotional curriculum
Develop and implement creative educational plans with the IEP team for all assigned students
Document progress in all academic and social-emotional areas for the purpose of individualizing instruction and writing quarterly reports
Understand and deliver appropriate behavioral plan for each student
Understand and employ the precepts of Applied Behavior Analysis
Utilize appropriate intervention with students experiencing behavior or emotional difficulties
Communicate with LEAs and parents on a regular basis to involve them in the educational and social process
Document incidents, suspensions, and therapeutic leaves as requested 
Model respect, honesty, consideration, responsibility, and positive attitude with both peers and students
Collaborate with teaching team to plan for and address student progress
Maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
Participate in staff meetings and in-service training as requested
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelors degree required, Master’s degree preferred
DESE certification in relevant teaching field
Experience and trained in de-escalation/physical intervention via Crisis Prevention Intervention Institute - CPI or Therapeutic Crisis Intervention - TCI
Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Autism Spectrum, PDD
Experience working with students with special learning, emotional, and/or behavioral needs
Demonstrated ability to approach difficult youngsters in a creative and thoughtful manner
Ability to teach, mentor, coach, and advocate for students
Flexibility to meet identified student needs 
Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
A strong commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization
