Service Engineer

Role & Responsibilities
To install, commission and repair high power (1kW to 4MW) induction heating and welding units that are used for a wide variety of industrial processes world wide. 

-Service the equipment internationally
-Offering advice and technical support to customers.
-Prepare and plan service calls
-Preparing and issuing internal contract documentation

Home based position but there will be lots of travelling involved with this role.

Required Skills & Experience

-General mechanical skills
-Willingness to work abroad for 60% of the year
-Electrical test, PLCs, radio frequency, EMC knowledge
You will need to be multi-disciplined with knowledge of power electronics, electronics, radio-frequencies, EMC, mechanical handling systems and water cooling systems.  In practice because of the size of the units the work is as much mechanical as electrical.
We are seeking a person who is flexible, out-going, technically motivated and interested in a high level of Customer Service.  You will be well organised and able to communicate effectively with senior management, both internal and external.   You will have experience in a 
manufacturing/industrial environment servicing and commissioning special purpose machines or capital equipment.
