We are looking for a Technical Manager to consolidate our QA efforts for offshore team, to help lead us to the next generation of quality.
You will be a hands-on QA Manager, helping to define and implement the QA strategy, Properties QA team. You must be comfortable interacting with cross organizational teams both locally as well as in remote locations. This position requires deep understanding of QA methodologies, process, metrics and test automation.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for Testing and Quality Assurance products, including our Free and Premium services.
You must have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of QA, QAs goals, working with QA and non-QA groups, working offshore, managing a team in India, and extensive background in solid test coverage of complex Enterprise Web-applications in a 24x7 production environment. Youre responsible for creating test suites and test harness for QA, defining test plans and test specifications, execution of test cases, and reporting product failures. Youre expected to follow project milestones, design, implement, document, and/or execute tests, evaluate and communicate results.
You will be responsible to collaborate with multiple product and QA teams within India and oversees. Youre required to strategize, plan, estimate, specify, and evolve the QA strategy. You will be responsible for managing its continued operation enhancement. You would also be responsible for setting up the processes required to promote the overall quality of the product. You will have an opportunity to define the vision and direction of this group.
Requirements
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering degree.
7+ years of experience in Software testing
5+ years of Management or Tech Lead experience
Proven track record of building technical teams from ground up, including hiring and motivating brilliant engineers, project planning and execution, working closely with product management teams, implementing and using SDLC processes and/or agile development processes
Active team participant with strong technical and personal leadership skills
Customer-focused, self-starter, able to triage issues, and react well to changes
Work independently and with multiple teams across remote locations, being able to multi-task on multiple products, projects
while working with local and offshore teams
Strong hands-on experience writing QA test plans and test cases while executing them
Experience with automation tools (SILK, QTP, Winrunner)
Experience testing in Windows, Macintosh and Unix environment
Strong verbal and written communication and coordination skills
Experience testing Client and Server applications
Experience in QA methodologies, procedures documentation
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Desirable Experiences/Skills:
Experience in shell scripting PERL, Python desirable.
RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle) experience desirable
Programming experience in C/C++ desirable.
