Design new products and redesign/modify components for improved products and/or customer special requests.Investigate design concepts proposed by marketing i.e. feasibility, cost, function, and operating parameters/limitations.Coordinate with manufacturing employees to ensure product is producible before release of product and assist manufacturing in assembly and fabrication of product components.Work with vendors in new product design to select purchased parts that meet established requirements.Test and evaluate product and update documentation throughout product evolution.Drive continuous improvement through value stream, cost reduction and quality.
