The Automotive Testing Engineer is responsible for the testing and validation of future automotive propulsion concepts in accordance with our customers overall objectives and in compliance with central and state regulations. Plans, organizes and performs the testing, validation and the sign-off of customer vehicles and systems for the indian market; determines and ensures that pre-defined project objectives are met: maintains continuous liaison to customer R&D departments to update and synchronize ideas, finding and results Defines, coordinates and delegates tasks to approximately 35 technicians and test drivers in order to perform vehicle evaluation and validation procedures to generate targeted results and to meet given project objectives Organizes, coordinates and conducts special (hot/cold environment) testing events; manages and supervises the team of participating engineers, technicians and test drivers; continuously optimizes efficiency of test procedures; controls proper reporting Defines and upgrades india-specific test standards and procedures with regard to technical requirements, logistics, costs, safety and security Participates and contributes in the continuous process of defining and updating specific market objectives and customer requirements for future vehicle models and innovative automotive systems Monitors current automotive technology and market trends , analyzes related literature, reads technical magazines. Organizes and coordinates overseas transportation of entire vehicles and vehicle components; deals with customs related issues. Drives, controls, evaluates cars under extreme vehicle dynamic conditions, requiring trained and skilled hearing, seeing and feeling abilities. Exposure to extreme hot and cold weather conditions, to all kind of automobile related chemicals (fuels, oils, fluids, cleaners) and to temporarily high levels of noise, vapor and exhaust emissions Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering 1 to 2 years experience in Vehicle Testing Procedures 2 to 3 years experience in Automotive Engineerng/Development Strong Analytical and vehicle/powertrain skills Excellent computer skills Excellent.
