Provides network and data security support for the Company to ensure hardware and software operations run efficiently. Installs and enhances current and new revisions of the operating system. Responsible for leading all network administration duties and projects. Manages other IT and business related projects as needed. Manages and supports end-user hardware and software needs, including installation and repair services for PC and Laptop systems, printers, operating systems, application software, mobile devices, and phone systems. Job Description and Duties: - this is just a sample of the duties involved for this position Identify problems, troubleshoot and provide advice and training to assist users. Provide user support for hardware, applications and services. Provide PC, laptop, printer and network break/fix support. Research questions using a variety of manuals and resources to answer all end-user and staff questions. Adhere to IT standard practices in all aspects of the job. Maintain records and files related to IT assets, network performance, problems, changes and operations. Manage setup and distribution of new workstations/laptops/printers. Respond in a timely, professional and courteous manner to user requests for support, assistance, problems, and requests for additional equipment or services. Maintain the help desk issue tracking system and provide performance reports to the General Manager on a regular basis. Communicate company IT policies and procedures to users and monitor user compliance. Implement initiatives to improve user compliance. Maintain up-to-date inventory of all desktops, printers & peripheral equipment. Troubleshoot and support the Company telephone system. Monitor, perform and maintain daily tape backups. Safeguard network and data security for all company locations, clients and employees. Manage and execute IT projects as necessary. Requirements IT Network Administrator Requirements - IT Network Administrator : SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline; Initiative, insight, and technical knowledge in developing effective IT solutions to business problems a must; Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management, verbally and in writing; Excellent and professional customer service skills; Willingness to cooperate with Executive Management in establishing and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards; Experience troubleshooting the following technologies: MS Windows 2000, MS Windows XP, MS Office 2003 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook and One Note), TP/IP, desktop/laptop malfunctions, printing issues, spyware removal, antivirus software and virus removal. Experience with hardware installation and relocation; Ability to maintain confidential data; Industry certifications preferred (A+, Network +, MCP, CCNA); Ability to work flexible hours as needed, sometimes requiring work on weekends; Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT field; Strong sense of initiative and sense of urgency required with reliable follow-through/execution skills.
