Job Description
Member of a
project team involved in development of software for a Cable Modem Termination
System (CMTS), an edge router designed for cable service providers to deliver
broadband data, voice, and video to subscribers. Our new CMTS platform under
development is based on Cisco's latest hardware technology, network processors,
and Linux based operating system. The Cisco CMTS products have a leading share
of the market and the yearly revenue of the business unit exceeds one billion
dollars. Requires proficiency in C programming language. Familiarity with linux
and embedded SW design a plus.
Participation in
all stages of development( design, development, test, release, and maintenance)
as listed:
Work in an Agile
team to design, develop and test new software
Write functional
and design specs
Define product
internal/external interfaces
Develop high
quality software modules
Solves complex
problems at the system level
Participate in
Cisco’s Patent Program
