A successful candidate for this role will be
responsible for helping fellow team members with the advancement of SCADA and
Field Automation capabilities. Candidate's responsibilities will include:
Pipeline SCADA Capability
Identify opportunities for applying the SCADA
capability to add value to the business and operations
Work closely with pipeline operations and field
operations to improve operations and support business and operations project
and initiatives
Implement SCADA modifications to support system
changes and participate in on-call rotation for SCADA after hours support
Understand pertinent compliance requirements for
remote pipeline operations
Pipeline Automation Capability
Identify opportunities for applying the
Automation capability to add value to the business and operations
Support pipeline projects with Automation
design, equipment specifications, PLC logic development, implementation and
operational training for commissioning, etc.
Conduct R&D to verify operational emerging
automation, PLC software and instrumentation
Requirements
Must have ability to work independently, without
needing specific, detailed instructions on what steps need to be taken to
accomplish a task.
Computer skills, specifically the ability to use
Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and ability to learn SCADA Software and PLC
logic.
Must have excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
Must have good customer relations skills and the
ability to work with all levels of employees.
Must have a valid driver's license
Engineering, Electrical, Mathematics, or
Computer Science degree from a 4 year accredited institution
