This resource will be
responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Business Intelligence
environment, including ETL Jobs (Extract\Transform\Load) and Business Objects
reports.
Responsible for working with business groups to devise solutions for
‘business analytics’ needs across subject areas. The resource should be capable
of coding interfaces between data instances, third-party applications and home
grown PRPC applications. Experience with SQL Server and ORACLE SQL scripting
required. Experience with Business Objects highly desired.
BA/BS Degree in
Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience
2-4 years’ experience
as a SQL Server or Oracle RDBMS Database Engineer, but is competent to maintain
and develop queries and reporting solutions using both databases
Additional Preferred
Qualifications:
Familiar with object
oriented design and high level programming
Business Objects and
Datawarehouse development experience
Experience working
with business users and capturing reporting requirements
Experience with SQL
Language Scripting in MS SQL Server and Oracle instances
Experience with
Business Intelligence tools and Data Mart development
Practical knowledge of
SQL Server performance issues as well as knowledge of SQL Server replication
strategies; database performing tuning, backup, recovery, and space management;
IT development methodologies, processes, and tools
Accountability: makes
and keeps commitments; meets schedules and deadlines and completes assignments,
projects and goals within the allotted timeframe and budget
Creativity &
Innovation: develops new insights into situations and applies creative and
innovative solutions to make application improvements
Process Management:
proper documentation and transfer of knowledge to ensure repeatability and
scalability
Continuous learning
and development: Assimilates and applies new job-related information that has
varying degrees of complexity
