Voice Network Engineer & new jobs listed for the day
We
are seeking an experienced Cisco Voice Engineer to maintain, manage, secure,
document, and improve a brand new and rapidly growing CUBE+UCCX+CUCM v10.5
Unified Communications contact center environment which serves our multiple
sites, primarily the US contact centers.
Depending
on experience, the person to fill this role may be named as team leader.
Qualifications
Cisco
network administration is part of this role including switching, VLANs, 802.1q,
Cisco ASA (VPN, NAT, etc), OSPF Routing on ISR gen 3 routers, and last but not
least QoS at multiple layers.
5+
years of relevant VOIP experience desired.
CCNA
Routing and Switching and CCNP Collaboration or R+S will have high preference
in this role.
Must
have solid experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity
Connection, including bulk administration, provisioning and management of
endpoints and users accounts
Experience
with Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, Cisco Unified Presence, Jabber,
Cisco audio and video conferencing and experience with traditional PBX and
voicemail system integration to a UC environment are desired
Experience
with voice gateways and CUBE, SIP, SCCP, digital PRI/T1, analog FXO/FXS, Cisco
Unified Border Element, media resources, SRST.
Strong
English verbal and written communication skills required
Strong
troubleshooting skills required including debugging, testing, working with
Cisco TAC and other vendor support efficiently.
Specific
Responsibilities
•
Provide lead engineering and support on all UC infrastructure including by not
limited to all session border controllers, voice gateways, voice circuits (IP
or TDM), Cisco Telepresence Infrastructure
•
Assess, design and document business users highly technical requirements
•
Convert requirements into actionable scope of work
•
Engineer, configure and lead the design, configuration and deployment of all
Unified Communications infrastructure
•
Evaluate and certify unified communications hardware and software
•
Manage all Unified Communications vendor relationships – escalate issues when
appropriate
•
Perform infrastructure system maintenances, upgrades and migrations.
•
Review data monitoring stats and confirm SLAs with platforms and carriers are
being met
•
Provide tier 2-3 unified communications support to 400 users
•
Work with IT Management team to direct UC platform roadmap
