.Net and SQL Programmer Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Be the .Net (Primarily web) specialist / lead in the team
• Design and Develop applications from conceptual stage to implementation. Most new development to be in ASP.Net and SQL 2000. Most reporting solutions to be done in SQL Reporting Services.
• Database Design of the aforementioned application development. Current database environment is SQL 2000.
• Work with end users in gathering requirements and process flows.
• Provide production support to existing applications. Applications to be supported are in ASP, ASP.Net, VB.Net, SQL 2000, DTS, Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting services.
• Optimize / extend /rewrite current applications.
• Provide technical / support cross training to other team members
• Provide Technical documentation

There are opportunities to work on projects involving:

·          SQL 2000 / 2005

·          ASP.NET

·          SQL Server Reporting Services

·          Adobe Flex / AIR technologies

·          DTS / SQL Integration Services

·          OLAP

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant work experience.   As well, be able to manage a diverse workload, learn quickly and adapt to new tools. They should possess good documentation and communication skills, be detail oriented with good problem solving and research skills.  

 Required Skills:

·          Very strong development experience using ASP.NET for Web Application Development

·          Strong development experience using SQL Server 2000

·          Mid-level experience with Visual Basic or VB.Net for small desktop applications

·          Familiarity with Crystal Reports

·          Familiarity with Active Server Pages

·          VB Scripting

·          Experience with XML

·          Familiarity with JavaScript

·          Operating Systems: Windows XP/7, Windows 2003/2008 Servers

·          Familiarity with Web Services

·          Good organizational and time management skills

·          Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members

·          Experience in applying best practices for ASP.NET and SQL development

Nice to have:

·          SQL Server Reporting Services

·          Adobe Flex

·          Experience with SQL 2005

Optional Skills:

·          Adobe ColdFusion
