Additional responsibilities may include:
- Consulting services on various projects involving the implementation and customization
- Ongoing support and trouble shooting for clients post implementation
- Client training on Matrikon software
- Ongoing support and trouble shooting for clients post implementation
- Required documentation to ensure best practices in project management are being followed in accordance with Matrikon and client guidelines
- Design and implementation of Alarm Management projects
- Completion and delivery Alarm Management audits
- Involvement in the quality assurance of solutions provided and subsequent testing of these systems
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- 0-5 years experience
- Relevant degree in Electrical/Computer/Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Technical Diploma
- Results driven, self-starter who has the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort in dealing with multiple and varied assignments
- Must be quality-oriented, thorough and logical
- Must be available to travel domestic and internationally up to 75% of the time
In addition to the above the following will be highly regarded:
- Experience with data historians such as OSISoft PI or Aspentech IP.21
- Experience with OPC technology.
- Previous exposure to programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and HTML programming
- Network configuration and basic computer hardware experience
- Experience with data integration to process control and automation systems such as PLC, SCADA and DCS systems
- Windows 2000/2003 Server, and Windows XP configuration experience
- A solid understanding of practical issues in process control and experience implementing and maintaining control applications.
- Experience with one or more of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Refining, Pulp & Paper, and/or Mining.
