Team Leader - Qualified Social Worker

Exp: 0 to 5 Years

As Team Leader you will manage a team of Social Work Mental Health professionals providing mental health services to service users.  You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the service working closely with the Team Manager to ensure all professional, administrative and clerical obligations and commitments are met.


You will assist with the management of the service budget, ensuring that resources are efficiently utilised, and to ensure staff are hitting targets and meeting council standards, your role will encompass performance management and analysis of the services being provided to users.


You will be responsible for coordinating the duties and tasks of the team, developing flexible responses to the needs of our users, whilst working with the Team Manager to take a long and short term view to improving processes and services.


About the person


We will be impressed by your track record of sound clinical practice and decision making, and you will have a good understanding of risk assessment and risk management, and the techniques required to apply this in practice.


You will have good national and local knowledge of the mental health sector, legislation and policy, with an ability to lead and motivate team of professionals within a multi-disciplinary setting.  You will also have the capability to work well and empathetically with people in different health situations, and to perform effectively in a pressurised environment.
