Technical Writer
Dynamic, open and client focused Product Development environment,
The job: You will be responsible for developing a range of client facing documentation for the Accountants Division. The documentation includes the development of; release notes, installation guides, user guides, online help and Flash browsers for Accounting Practices.
The environment: You will be working in a product development environment catering for the documentation needs of various development teams. The atmosphere is friendly, innovative and agile, whilst remaining focused on our clients and business goals.
The skills and experience required: You will be a technical writer with at least three years experience writing procedural and client facing documentation, preferably for Accounting Practices. Your writing experience must include the use of the following tools:
FrameMaker (Mandatory)
Webworks
Flash
MS Visual Source Safe
Snagit
The person: A background in technical writing for business, preferably for practice management and accounting software. You will possess:
Outstanding skills in crafting literate, fluent, plain, user-centric English
The ability to write accurate, clear and economical documentation
The ability to clearly communicate with managers, team members and clients
A commitment to excellence and demonstrate initiative for process improvement
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
The ability to follow a typical documentation development process within the SDLC
