Software Developer - Job Code: CIK-1593

We design, build, and maintain the applications that define the BlackBerry multimedia experience. As a member of the multimedia team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on media capture (camera, video recording), picture viewing experience, music player, video player, streaming, play lists, media management, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Design, implementation, testing, profiling and maintenance of multimedia applications
Facing challenges associated with the different BlackBerry user interface paradigms (trackball, touch screen, etc.) and have the opportunity to work with the various BlackBerry handheld models that are available (Bold, Pearl Flip, Storm, etc.)
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Experience using the Java programming language (J2ME preferred)
Understanding of user interface design principles, multi-threading concepts, and event handling models
Appreciation for the challenges of mobile application development
Desire to shape the future and impact millions of people
