The SQL Developer will
work to support Real Estate Portfolio and Asset Management Reporting and
Forecasting applications (Request & Portfolio Maximizer) and other
internally developed applications.
The position requires that the candidate
work with system vendors, property managers, accountants, investment analysts,
and asset/portfolio managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for
the daily support of client/server and web based applications including
inbound/outbound ETLs, GUIs, stored procedures, reports and security. In
addition, primary responsibilities include developing new and/or modifying
existing application code and stored procedures to ensure efficient and
accurate system operations, creating/modifying reports and GUIs, and performing
general system modifications or enhancements.
Provides on-going
production application and database support, including researching production
problems and initiating corrective action where appropriate.
Maintains databases
for development, testing and production purposes, including the execution of
change management procedures.
Develops and/or
modifies SQL code for new programs, reports, GUIs, or ETLs.
Analyzes application
or report code and stored procedures and recommends/performs modifications
which will enhance operating capacity and meet business requirements.
Tests, debugs, and
modifies vendor supplied utilities, packages and engineering releases.
Interacting with
project managers and business analysts to clearly define requirements for
application change requests.
Consulting with
clients, IT management, and staff throughout the project life cycle, to assist
and support the design, development, and implementation of effective systems.
Works from or writes
specifications to develop or modify software programs which will improve or
enhance system operation.
Providing technical
consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing automated solutions
to assist the business in meeting their strategic objectives.
Acting as expert
technical resource in all phases of the development and implementation process.
Assisting with user
acceptance testing of new or modified applications and features and validating
their production readiness prior to their promotion to the production
environment.
Limited travel to
implement the Request & Portfolio Maximizer applications around the world.
Qualifications:
Experience working
with both client/server and web based applications.
Must be experienced
with Microsoft SQL Server technology and SQL stored procedure development and
troubleshooting.
Experience with
Microsoft Reporting Services, Visual Studio, XML, XAML, and .NET based systems.
Knowledge of
Commercial Real Estate business, including exposure to residential and/or
commercial property management and experience with MRI or other Real Estate
Property Manager System software packages is very desirable.
Must be detail
oriented and have the ability to multitask and set priorities.
Self-starters with
proven ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Strong working
knowledge of Excel and Word.
Excellent written and
verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's Degree or
equivalent related work experience.
Background Pluses:
Experience with
financial applications, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL
Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Knowledge of the
Resolve Technology Request and Portfolio Maximizer applications or other Real
Estate Portfolio Management System software packages.
