Being the technical
point of contact for the processor through the complete silicon lifecycle, from
interfacing with the platform teams responsible for the peripheral components
and the Software teams porting the OS and developing the drivers to the product
design teams integrating our silicon platform in new designs
Managing the logistics
of new samples, and the Change Requests for subsequent die revisions
Configuring of the
processor to reconcile chipset connectivity and support multiple chipset solutions
Supervising design
engineers interfacing peripheral components to the processor and auditing their
design analysis (functional specs, connectivity, signal integrity and timing)
Participation in
schematic development of platform prototypes and design reviews, and
participation in development of the verification plans (including hardware and
software requirements for the test platform)
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years proven
experience in an engineering design role, designing ASIC's or working with
teams developing them
Experience with ARMv7
or equivalent core architecture and processors and/or multiprocessor (SMP) core
architectures
Experience bringing up
microprocessors on test cards and troubleshooting design issues
Experience in
high-volume product design and development
Experience with
electrical hardware lab equipment (including oscilloscope, bus analyzers,
spectrum analyzers, temperature chambers, voltmeters)
Self-starter
Detail-oriented
Demonstrated
leadership skills and the ability to take initiative
Experience working
with various engineering groups (hardware, software, factory, component
qualification, etc.) and with external electronic components suppliers
Excellent verbal and
written communication skills
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
Mixed analog-digital
electronics design experience is an asset
