SAP Release Delivery Manager

The Release Manager is responsible for leading small, medium and large-scale SAP projects and
programs/releases, spanning multiple technology platforms and integration of multiple functional areas. Candidate will be expected to communicate and coordinate with other team leads, business and technology leadership and project/release managers to ensure project deliverables are met according to methodologies and established Release Plan. The Release Manager oversees quality control throughout the life of the project life cycle and ensures the compliance to quality controls. Release Manager is responsible for and expected to lead others in the Project Management areas of Scheduling, Communications, Costs, Integration, Organizational, Quality, Resource, Risk, Scope and Time management. Additional responsibilities for creating and maintaining resource planning/capacity models, documentation management and quality assurance as well as managing the Project portfolio will be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or greater than 8 year’s equivalent formal training or work experience.
A minimum of 3 years managing SAP large-scale projects and/or programs using a formal project management methodology (Waterfall, Scrum, ASAP, Agile, etc.)
Experience with SAP Implementations cycles with SAP Change Management, and Development
A proven track of starting, managing and delivering projects on time, on budget and meeting customer requirements
Must know how to move a product to production
Managing and execution of plans
A quality-focus background with proven success in building a continuous improvement culture
Experience managing large corporate Project Portfolios
Excellent understanding of SAP terms and concepts (i.e. landscapes, change control, integration among teams and functionality)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Solid analytical and problem solving skill
Ability to coordinate code and data releases across environments
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
Excellent attention to details, dependencies, risks.
Ability to work with other Project Managers on an integrated project plan – focus on hand-offs and dependencies
Ability to work with business teams
Ability to follow through and hold resources accountable to expectations
