Risk Management
Information (RMI) is responsible for leading the development and implementation
of the SAN-US risk management infrastructure.
Reporting to the CRO the function
has a special focus on the governance, management and control of risk data and
reporting. It also ensures the consistency of SAN-US Risk management and
regulatory reporting across all risk types and business units.
The role requires the
candidate to assume a leading role in the understanding of the systems and
information requirements of the Risk Areas, and translate those requirements
into systems maps and plans to deliver risk information to risk managers.
The position requires
an understanding of risk management infrastructures and processes, best
practices and the ability to translate needs into projects.
Evaluate whether risk
information is consistent and comparable among business units. Working in the
implementation of metrics, homogenization, quality and completeness of data.
Lead risk initiatives
to create the adequate IT infrastructure to guarantee accuracy and integrity of
risk data and reporting for management and risk consolidation purposes.
Assume a leading role
in specific initiatives related to Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting
Framework projects establishing and defining quality, granularity, and
frequency of the risk information in accordance to the principles dictated by
regulatory bodies.
Launch initiatives to
adapt the risk infrastructure and information map to market trends, regulatory
changes, and strategic plans.
Coordinate and provide
consistency of SAN-US Risk regulatory and Management Reporting Framework across
all Risk Types and Business Units.
Qualifications
Bachelors or
Equivalent
5 year experience in
the financial (risk areas) and/or technology (business analyst) sectors.
Knowledge of risk best
practices and infrastructure.
Ability to deal with
multidisciplinary teams; proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build
relationships at all levels.
Analytical skills;
ability to gather and analyze complex risk and operational data.
Project management
skills.
Experience on MIS
reporting structures
Understanding of Risk
Management needs and designing new solutions based on detailed analysis.
Ability to multi-task
Adaptable to a
changing environment, able to work well under pressure, and to effectively
communicate with upper management.
