Digital Marketing Manager/Online Marketing Manager - eChannel
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Online Marketing Manager with a strong digital marketing background to join the e Channel team. This is a new team that is being expanded to meet the needs of an emerging online sales and service channel for the business. This is an exciting new development, which is creating the foundations for a media rich e-commerce and e-care/service experience for our advertiser customers (B2B).
The role holder will be responsible for driving traffic and managing campaigns to support eChannel. They will develop an acquisition plan, achieve buy in and implement to achieve return on investment. The role will work closely with the commercial revenue, product and retention teams to understand our advertiser needs, analyse opportunities and create a raft of marketing initiatives to meet business objectives.
A critical area for the team is to create a marketing and communications plan that will generate genuine interest, awareness and ultimately sales or service conversion. Role responsibilities:
• Develop launch awareness plan
• Implement campaign activity, including ad placements, resellers, pay per click, affiliate networks (working with business development team), online PR and email via appropriate internal teams or 3rd party agencies/suppliers
• Create and manage effective SEO plan
• Create annual and tactical marketing plans, achieving buy-in and business cases as necessary
• Working with sales, develop effective campaign plans including where appropriate landing pages, microsites etc, and implement compelling user journeys
• Chair regular forums to review cross channel activity and impacts
• Work with telesales and customer services to develop framework to support campaign activity and appropriate communications
• Implement effective small business social networks - eg Facebook, Twitter and blogs.
Role Requirements
• Experience producing marketing plans, business cases and achieving buy in
• Experience of lead generation activity, strong grasp of eCRM (inc gatekeeping marketable base)
• Highly analytical and results driven, strong commercial nous, ability to understand and interpret management information including web analytics (Omniture)
• Campaign management skills, able to implement multiple consecutive campaigns efficiently
• Campaign planning and budget management: demonstrable experience of successfully managing media selection and production budgets within new media environment
• Developing and managing affiliate model with business development, measuring and demonstrating performance
• SEO - managing SEO plan and ensuring developments are scheduled in appropriately
• Developing and managing email marketing campaigns (outbound) and pay per click
• Agency management, managing 3rd party briefing, creative, performance and budgets
Significant demonstrable marketing experience in a New Media environment. Offline marketing experience eg DM desirable
• Supplier management - agency and production house
• E-commerce experience (highly desirable)
• Experience working across multiple branded environments
• Educated to degree level min
• CIM/IDM, e-commerce training (desirable)
• Copywriting and editing (desirable)
• X-HTML, CSS, Javascript, VisualBasic, Photoshop, MVT (eg Autonomy/Omniture), Dreamweaver (desirable)
