Systems Administrator, Staff

What Will This Position Offer You?

The opportunity to maintain data files and control procedures for a complex system of networked computers or for a single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or network.

You will perform as system administrator for desktop PCs and Windows based servers responsible for Information Technology system security and data integrity. Assign passwords and monitor use of resources, back up files as required and responds to management requests for information. Assist users in correcting problems in support of operational mission. Responsible for providing system administration and helpdesk desktop support to end-user community on hardware, software and network related problems, questions, and use. Respond to work tickets and provide resolutions on the desktop and network problems with users, walks the user through a series of steps to determine problem and classify level, priority and nature of problem. If unable to diagnose problem and/or problem requires physical interaction with end user, dispatch field engineers from appropriate team. Open, track and close trouble tickets. Ensure problem ownership and promote end-user satisfaction. Track activities of field engineers to who tickets were assigned.

Position Requirements:

* Minimum GSA schedule qualifications for this position are High School diploma and four years related experience OR Bachelor's Degree desired (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and two years of related experience in computer hardware, software, networking systems, and in the set-up, configuration, use, and trouble shooting of computer systems.

* Trained and certified in automated help desk management systems.
