Role Summary/Purpose: As a key member of the global Invasive Cardiology engineering team, you will be working on products that gets used by physicians to diagnose and treat patients in interventional cardiology department. You will need to collaborate effectively with your global counterparts to bring rapid solutions to our customers.
Essential Responsibilities Duties include (but are not limited to): 
1. Design and development of Mechanical subsystems of invasive cardiology systems 
2. Authoring design documents and verification procedures 
3. Responsible for verification testing, reliability testing, safety testing 
4. Drive cost effectiveness, manufacturability and serviceability 
5. Work with vendors, service and manufacturing functions
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering 
2. 3-5 years experience in design and development 
3. Good knowledge in Plastic part, Sheet-metal part & casting part design. System integration with Electrical system. 
4. Proficiency in CAD Tools: Pro – E & in graphic design tool: Adobe Illustrator. 
5. Ability to work largely independently with minimal supervision: design through verification
Desired Characteristics 1. Medical (IEC60601) & Electrical Standards as applied to Healthcare Industry. 
2. Experience in Design for Assembly (DFA) & Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
3. Experience with Product Data Management/Parts Management. 
4. Good in Material selection.
5. Exposure to Prototyping methods. 
6. Exposure to Mechanical Reliability Test Environment. 
7. Previous work experience or exposure to Manufacturing facility / practices.
