Description Transportation Construction Inspection Positions Available Qualified construction project engineers, assistant project engineers, office engineers and inspectors for on-site inspection of transportation projects including highways, bridges, drainage structures, SWM facilities and ancillary improvements including utility relocations for both new construction and rehabilitation contracts. Experience Requirements - Experience ranges from a minimum of three years (TET III Level) to a minimum of eight years (TET V Level). Applicants must have demonstrated inspection experience with transportation projects involving Maryland DOT and/or County DPW&T construction standards and specifications. Material Testing Certifications- Material sampling and testing certifications required including MARCTP (Concrete, Soils/Aggregate/Compaction and HMA) Other Required Certifications- SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager Certification; Sediment & erosion control certifications are also required. Other Requirements - Applicant must have a Diploma or Equivalency Certificate; valid drivers license and personal vehicle for travel to and from assigned construction sites; good communication skills; the ability to read/interpret plans and specifications; writing and drawing skills necessary to complete inspection reports, ledgers and sketch books. In addition, basic computer skills (Word & Excel) are required to complete electronic daily reports. Familiarity with MCMS preferred.
