Credit Analysis is a pre-sanction credit process in Middle Office. The scope of this process includes corporate customers. Credit Analysis is an individual contributor role in which a Credit Analyst will be handed over a portfolio of multinational corporate, global financial institutions or large corporate customers based out of the UK.

A member of Middle Office responsible for supporting nominated RDs who are developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of Larger Business customers. Analytical  Specialist dealing with a range of financial information for a number of Industry portfolios and Providing high-quality financial analysis support to RDs, acting as an interface with other areas of Barclays Corporate and undertaking the monitoring of customers financials. Responsible for reviewing and agreeing the Monitoring and Control elements of complex Facility Letter documentation. Working in partnership with the Credit Writing and Post Sanction Case managers, Coverage team, servicing team and other specialists to ensure that we provide a joined up service to our customers at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Detailed financial analysis
Review of limits as per the requirements of customers
Review bank account conduct
Qualitative analysis covering management, industry and peers
Assist relationship team in pricing of deals and terms/conditions
Analyse legal and structured subordination
Adherence to lending procedures
Making recommendations and suggestions
Continuous Improvement.
Risk and Control Objective - Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards

Requirements for IJP for the position of Assistant Manager - Credit Analysis - Middle Office

·  Prior experience in corporate credit analysis in a global bank
·  Strong financial statements analysis skills
·  Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
·  Strong ability to analyse management information, unaudited and audited accounts
·  Knowledge of corporate banking products and exposure to core banking systems/applications
·  A good knowledge of Risk management (account opening, health and safety, fraud prevention, money laundering)
·  Awareness of legislation affecting the Bank and customers (including the Data Protection Act, Companies Act, Insolvency Act, Financial Services Act, Money Laundering and confidentiality regulations, Sarbanes Oxley and Basel).
