The Telecommunications Technician will serve as the technical expert responsible for the managing,monitoring and troubleshooting any of the components comprising the VoIP Phone switch. This includes additions and changes to the phone system, voicemail and contact center software.Performing proactive monitoring of voice elements, alarms and alerts to identify those components/elements that may lead to or already are causing voice degradation or failure
Performing fault isolation and diagnostic/assessment functions to include determination and execution of corrective action(s) on real-time basis.Interfacing with local and remote users.Maintaining logs and records associated with reported problems or situations.Deploying software updates, including mass deployments on workstations and phonesPerforming operator level maintenance on all components/assets associated with VoIP management systemsPerforming telephone adds, moves and changes.Strong understanding of IP and telephony protocols andtroubleshooting.Exceptional communication and customer service skills.Self-motivated, with strong time-management and project-management skills.Excellent problem solving skills.Preferred Skills: enterprise PBX/Call center administration, with Siemens products, with Enterprise.Voicemail administration and troubleshooting.
