Provides ongoing client support in the INVESCO Global Service Desk by ensuring that appropriate schedules are maintained and met, all processes are documented and current, measures are in place to detect work process failures, and appropriate quality assurance measures are in place.
                                
Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 
Identifies discrepancies within documented procedures and reports them to management.
Reports problems and escalate issues to proper support teams according to defined procedures.
Respond to user help calls as required support of all systems.
Assist in performing manual and clerical functions as required by the IT Services Department.
Participate in troubleshooting efforts with support personnel on factors impacting production systems.
Update process documentation as required.
Assist in the completion of special projects for the IT Infrastructure Shared Services team.
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
General knowledge of industry standards monitoring tools.
Keep abreast of current developments and trends in information technology through networking, continuing education and industry/technology publications.
Implement programs and systems required in support of assigned tasks.
Assist in the implementation and training of team members as necessary.
Represents the IT Service Desk team at meetings and/or planning sessions.
Prepares minutes as requested.
Provide administrative support for department Senior Managers.

Qualifications

Formal Education:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Systems is preferred.

WORK:

A minimum of three years of helpdesk experience in an IT environment is required.

Skills:  

Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate with a variety of individuals at all technical levels are required.  Must posses a solid understanding of systems operation and be able to use computer terminals and peripheral equipment.  Must have exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving systems problems while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.  Must have the ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and concentrates on detailed information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.  The ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical.
