Job Description:
Manage medium size SQL Server databases performing such tasks as installation, configuration,
updating, and backup/restore. Implement database designs, monitor databases, and tune databases for
maximum performance
Perform detailed requirements analysis for all development projects
Create detailed specification documentation for all development projects
System level testing: create testing use cases, perform testing, record and communicate reported
issues
Interact with local and remote site development staff to communicate requirements, provide
development guidance, and assist in resolving issues
Understand the existing code base written in .NET in order to assist in debugging, making
enhancements, and fixing reported issues/bugs
Support developers with stored procedures, functions, views, DDL, query optimization etc.
Write T-SQL queries to extract and analyze data, and generate reports
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field of study
experience or equivalent combination
Must have a working knowledge of SQL Server database
Must possess good knowledge of SQL
Must have experience with specification requirements analysis and creating detailed specification
documentation
Must have experience working with remote/disbursed development teams
Must have some experience with .NET and Visual Studio

Designs units for others. Completes development to implement complex components.

Contributes to design activities; may design solutions.

Develops independently; participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews. May lead and provide mentoring and guidance to less senior developers.

Designs, prepares and executes unit tests.

Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Web-site Development).

Independently implements end-user or enterprise solutions complexity or services prepared by more senior technologists for more complex solutions.

May assign work to others.

Provides time / resource estimates for assigned tasks.

May provide time / resource estimates for assigned projects.

Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum 4 years of .NET development in complex multi-tier projects
Good knowledge of OOP and experience in design of complex business components
Experience of UML Modeling Tools to include class and sequence diagrams
Experience working with source control systems such as Team Foundation Server
Hands on experience of Windows Forms including concepts related to data binding
Hands on experience on WCF and Web services
Experience writing SQL Scripts including complex queries
Awareness of current technologies
Self-starter and highly motivated individual
Exposure to Entity framework or other ORM tools highly desired
Good communication skills.
