Firmware Engineer

About the Job



Looking for an experienced firmware engineer to develop embedded application software for the next generation, The candidate should be well versed in developing  and debugging firmware for custom ASIC’s. In addition, the candidate should have some background in the image processing, image compression and H264 or MPEG2 compression standards.

Responsibilities:

·         Develop embedded system solutions for a growing video encoder market.
·         Review chip specification and work with customers on their specific requirements.
·         Develop new C code as well as maintain existing code base on current encoding platform.
  • Verify software functionality both in your own test environment as well as in conjunction with the rest of the project team and external system test engineers.
  • Coordinate and implement improvements in software development methodology.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • College degree in EE, CS, or Mathematics or equivalent.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience developing software for embedded applications.
  • Experienced in implementing and debugging DSP applications on a variety of embedded platforms.
  • Consistent demonstration of strong firmware development practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of C and experience with assembly language programming.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
