Java J2EE Programmer is responsible for determining, maintaining and enhancing existing System Architecture. In fact, the Developer must have a good understanding of System Architecture and Best Practices for infrastructure upgrades. This position receives general direction from the Manager. 

The security layer of the applications.
Legacy J2EE Core components.
Database connectivity.
Core Application structure.
