Project Engineer Marine
Seeking specialist skills in civil and marine engineering
The Project Engineer will act as primary point of contact the mainland and within the port.The work performed and properties provided are critical to the overall success of LNG project. These works include surface preparation of temporary construction sites on the mainland, dredging of the main LNG access channel, the swing basins, and the Curtis Island construction access channel.Key responsibilities include:
Oversee all planning, scheduling, reporting and relationship management
Coordinate activities connected with the scope including: bid review, EPC contractor selection and oversight;
Manage interfaces with QA/QC, construction, installation and facilities start-up activities;
Act according to budgetary authority and accountability for the management and delivery and
Identifying any deviations from the agreed scope or premises, assessing their impact and ensuring remedial action.
The position is a key "relationship" role being the primary project representative to GPC regarding the execution of the scope of work. Proven track records in similar relationship building and maintaining good business relations whilst maintaining an independent status is crucial.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical Marine or Civil Engineering
Required Experience
Previous marine, civil or similar project experience
Direct experience in administering major components or project execution plans
Previous experience in Marine dredging, docks, landings, shoreline construction experience will be preferred.
