The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Ensuring that BlackBerry Development Tools and Platforms and Solutions delivered to market are of the highest quality, bug free and conform to product specifications
Testing cutting edge Application Development Platforms and Solutions for RIM's wireless devices
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Computer Science degree or related discipline
3+ years testing experience in a software product development environment
Strong knowledge of and practical experience using "best practice" test methodologies
Solid bug tracking and test reporting skills
Proficient at writing test plans and test cases
Proven experience in performing testing activities (black box and white box) in a product development environment
Experience in Java and/or C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML in Eclipse and/or MS VS .Net environment
Experience working closely with other teams including Development, Documentation, Localization, and Product Management to resolve defects to closure
Proactive in identifying issues that will affect product deliveries
Able to adjust workload when required during aggressive timelines
Initiative and innovation skills with passion for process improvement
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem determination skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
Experience in testing with automated tools (Rational/ Mercury/TestQuest)
Experience in developing test tools (and test harness)
Knowledge of wireless technology
