Responsibilities:
Manage medium size SQL Server databases performing such tasks as installation, configuration, updating, and backup/restore. Implement database designs, monitor databases, and tune databases for maximum performance
Perform detailed requirements analysis for all development projects
Create detailed specification documentation for all development projects
System level testing: create testing use cases, perform testing, record and communicate reported issues
Interact with local and remote site development staff to communicate requirements, provide development guidance, and assist in resolving issues
Understand the existing code base written in .NET in order to assist in debugging, making enhancements, and fixing reported issues/bugs
Support developers with stored procedures, functions, views, DDL, query optimization etc.
Write T-SQL queries to extract and analyze data, and generate reports
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field of study
Three (3) to five (5) years related experience or equivalent combination
Must have a working knowledge of SQL Server database
Must possess good knowledge of SQL
Must have experience with specification requirements analysis and creating detailed specification documentation
Must have experience working with remote/disbursed development teams
Must have some experience with .NET and Visual Studio
