Perform accountant duties and postage related
tasks to support the policies, procedures, and programs of finance and
accounting with a focus on postage and freight accounting.
Candidates that have
performed financial analyst work within a manufacturing environment preferred,
but not necessary. Principal work activity may include, but is not limited to,
Data compilation from various systems, formulating reports, reconciliations;
providing information; and developing analysis and written explanation of variances;
maintains accounting ledgers; analysis of expenses and billing related data;
prepares journal entries and closing accounts; reconciles accounts and
statements;. This job level requires an incumbent to quickly learn to perform
multi-tasking and to focus concentration for extended periods. Satisfactory
performance requires fundamental accountant skills and some knowledge of
finance and accounting technology and methodology including generally accepted
accounting principles (GAAP) and SOX requirements. Must be a good PC user,
intermediate/advanced skills in the use of spreadsheets, ACCPAC and DFWorks
postage software experience a plus.
Problem solving is a significant responsibility and requires inquiry and
evaluation to resolve issues. Incumbent may train, assist, and in general help
others as assigned. You must be able to work with employees, outside vendors,
and 3rd party contractors. When all the needed information is not readily
available, incumbent must assemble the missing information. Must be able to
quickly learn to define problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions. Regularly works with confidential data requiring care to protect.
You must be able to works from oral or written instructions and a variety of
specifications, technical data, production documents, and financial/accounting
documents and information --- all in English. Regularly works with most
departments to assistant in problem resolution. Comply with all policies,
procedures, and work rule guidelines. The incumbent is expected to perform all
duties and tasks within his/her department or job and when assigned, in any
other department or job to the best of his/her individual skill and ability.
This may include being assigned certain production tasks during work peak
periods. Be able to document job functions and expected results.

Job Qualifications:

Requires fundamental accounting skills and knowledge of accounting
technology and methodology

Prior experience as a financial analyst in the manufacturing environment
and industry

Strong excel skills

Four years of experience as a Financial Analyst

So Confident and willing to communicate cost savings to upper level
management

Knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP
-
Good organizational skills, ability to stay in control and maintain even
handed approach with people while working with continually changing multi tasks
in a deadline work environment.

Must be able to lift 10 pounds
-
Provide minimal supervisory/directional duties across a small group to
ensure financial reporting is done in a timely manner.
Education:
Four year degree in finance or accounting.
