The Power Systems
Designer is responsible for handheld power system design, verification related
activities and is an integral part of a hardware development team.
The successful
candidate's responsibilities will include
System level definition,
simulation, analysis and verification of power systems
Designing and
verification of sub system level designs
Evaluating vendor and
component selection
Participating in cost
reduction activities and vendor sourcing
Providing direction
and leadership to junior engineers
Providing regular
status reports
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor
of Science in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
3+ years of experience
in low power, high volume mobile phone development, with experience in product
development, and mass production
Demonstrated Mobile
Radio Systems knowledge, experience with power distribution and current drain
reduction
Excellent debugging
skills including the use of instrumentation and software test code
Solid communication
skills
Ability to work
independently, take initiative, and resolve cross functional issues
Familiarity with
general electrical design considerations for multi-radio handheld devices
Ability to travel
internationally
