The role of the Video
Editor develops and creates video assets in relation to the SCEA product family.
The editor needs fundamental design experience and familiarity with digital
video/photography equipment and image and video manipulation software such as
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and non-linear editing such as Final Cut, Avid,
and Premiere, as well as knowledge of video compression formats and tools such
as Squeeze, QT Pro.
Responsibilities:
• Responsibilities
include management of editing suite, hardware and software updates. This person
will be creating and developing raw video assets in post-production including
cuts, roughs, integration of animation and static graphic elements, and audio
mixes leading to final deliverables based on requested.
• In addition, this
person will be digitizing, editing and finishing of videos, audio mixing,
motion graphics, compression of video footage, post production (editing,
animations and static graphics), menu interface creation and paths, duplication
and storage.
• Develop and
communicates video guidelines and workflow throughout the studio, oversees
quality control, and mentors Jr. Editors with their jobs
• Will be responsible
for coordinating and executing ongoing projects with project managers, maintain
efficiencies during project executions, continue to develop and manage
protocols in relation to all video deliverables
• Daily
responsibilities include the ability to interpret and understand studio and
project objectives.
Qualifications
• High level of
technical background necessary in order to support projects with a focus on
creativity while providing solutions is imperative
• Must have a hands-on
attitude with a background in video production, editing, digital photo
manipulation and marketing/advertising experience
• Experience with
video games, computers and home electronics is a plus. Analytical problem
solving skills, strong organizational skills are required.
• Must have the
ability to communicate with a variety of user levels verbally. Creates and
executes video production projects based on direction from clients.
• Must have experience
with Marketing, Advertising, Video Production, Camera Work, Editing, 3D
Graphics, Compression, Formatting, Duplication, Compositing, Hiring Talent,
Legal and Contract experience
