Lead the development
of the product vision, the integrated view of how the product will serve
the needs of the
customer while building lasting value for the company. This includes defining
the consumer value
proposition, mapping the long-term product and business strategy, and planning
the development,
release, and growth of products
Capture product
requirements into MRDs and PRDs, articulate value propositions and clearly
communicate with
product, engineering and QA teams
Serve as the arbiter
of quality, and decision maker around trade-offs between features, resources,
and time
Create and maintain an
ongoing product roadmap and product schedule
Build positive
relationship and trust with the end-customer through on-time delivery, high
quality,
continuous innovation,
and effective communication
9+ years of software
industry experience in a product development organization with 5-7 years of
product management
experience, preferably in Internet management and distribution domain
(experience
in a leading Internet
media company is desired)
Extensive experience
working closely with multi-disciplinary teams including marketing, sales,
engineering,
QA and UI design teams
to drive product definition and development
Ability to prioritize
among many competing alternatives and plans, balance customer needs with
business
priorities, and
objectively articulate the rationale behind decisions
A self-starter with
entrepreneurial skills and the ability to come up with new ideas and ways to
make them
happen.
