Customer Billing Specialist

The Customer Billing Specialist owns assigned customer billing accounts so that all aspects of outstanding balances and future credit worthiness are proactively managed; expedites account adjustments and customer
payments; researches and analyzes customer claims and determines refund eligibility; interacts and follows up with customers on sensitive collections issues.

Key Responsibilities:

•               Performs ten day follow up calls on assigned accounts
•               Performs collection calls on accounts in conformance with account guidelines in standard operating procedures and accounts receivables
•               Makes adjustments in Billing Transaction Repository (BTR) as required on assigned accounts in compliance with adjustment policy
•               Properly use Billing Accounts Receivables(BAR) and Billing Transaction Exception Transaction(BET) tools to expedite dispute resolution on assigned accounts
•               Prepares refund documentation as required
•               Performs bill reprints upon guest request
•               Responds promptly to inbound customer and hotel communications via email and voice mail
•               Performs area administrative duties as required
•               Processes account receivable statements, follow-up letters, and dunning letters
•               Aids in the identification of collection targets
•               Performs receivable inquiries
•               Properly use business process software to support collection duties
•               Researches and analyzes billing and collections questions and disputes
•               Plan and organize work within a defined set of duties

Basic Qualifications

•               Minimum 1 year of work experience with phones, customer service, collections or sales
•               High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

•               Microsoft Office Suite
•               Decision making ability
•               Time management skills
•               Ability to work in a fast paced environment

•               Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
•               Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
•               Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
