IT Network Engineer

Position Summary:

The IT Network Engineer will report into the Sr. Manager, IT Network and Security and support global information technology infrastructure.  You will be working in a complex, heterogeneous environment, and must have a broad technical background including experience in Network design, security, implementation, troubleshooting, analysis and maintenance.  The ideal candidate must be able to quickly solve complex problems related to network connectivity, performance and security.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Configure, test and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and services
  • Administrating common TCP/IP-based services
  • Architect and setup all network services and monitoring for a new data center and remote offices
  • Provides networking assistance to users, including troubleshooting network and applications performance problems; 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Ensure QoS through proper design for data, voice and video
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems to minimize network down time
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all networks
  • Manage vendors, including tracking hardware/software issue and driving vendors to resolve issues
  • Available to travel occasionally


Required Skills


  • LAN/WAN MPLS Network systems planning
  • Experience troubleshooting & resolving network issues
  • 5 years hands-on experience configuring, installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches.
  • 5 years hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Wide Area Network circuits (DS-1, DS-3, OC-3, E-1, E-3);
  • Experience with WAN circuit topologies, including MPLS and point-to-point;
    In depth knowledge of Cisco ASA and Concentrator30xx,VPN experience
  • In depth knowledge of Checkpoint/Juniper Firewalls
  • Experience with Nokia IP appliances
  • Experience with Netscreen (Juniper) Firewalls
  • In depth knowledge of dynamic routing protocols including OSPF, BGP
  • In depth knowledge of ACL, NAT, QoS and PBR
  • In depth knowledge of security protocols
  • In depth knowledge of clustering and VRRP/HSRP
  • Experience implementing & supporting wireless networks (Aruba Wireless)
  • Experience implementing & administering common TCP/IP based services including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP
  • Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security tools
