Software Support


Exp: 0 to 5 Years


The successful applicant will have the following technical skills:

  • SQL Server – proven experience of SQL Server (versions 2005 and above), covering all aspects such as querying/T-SQL, stored procedures, DBA tasks, performance tuning and relational database theory.
  • Windows Server – proven experience of configuring web applications in IIS. Setting them up and tracking down errors.
  • Programming – we use a combination of technologies to build web applications, including ASP, Visual Basic 6, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. We have also started development of new components in ASP.NET and C#. A good understanding of these technologies is required, and any proven commercial experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of these tools is an advantage: Crystal Reports, DTS, Visual Studio, source control (Vault) and bug tracking (FogBugz).

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing first line technical support to our in-house team of implementers.
  • Tracking support issues from initial reporting to completion. Keeping relevant people informed along the way.
  • Ensuring relevant documentation is up to date.

Our company is looking for somebody who:

  • Has excellent communication (written and verbal) and inter-personal skills.
  • Is eager to learn and gets stuck in no matter what the issue is, picking up new technologies quickly.
  • Can work well under pressure and prioritise work demands within tight time lines
  • Has a logical thought process and relishes finding and resolving the root cause of problems.
  • Has 1-2 years proven experience in a similar role, or a degree (or equivalent) in a technical or analytical subject.
