3rd Line Application Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity for experienced 3rd line application support engineer has just arisen. This role will see you working for Healthcare IT company in their Central London office.

The role will work hands-on with hosted applications, carrying out maintenance, upgrades, new deployments and troubleshooting. The successful 3rd Line Application Support Engineer will provide support to customers and third/fourth line support to customer organisations on the use of the application.

Essential Skills / Experience:

- Strong Linux skills, experience with Apache web server, infrastructure management tools (monitoring, configuration management, networking)

- Knowledge of Cloud Computing concepts a distinct advantage as well as previous Healthcare experience

- Strong knowledge of Jave application servers or database administration

- Understanding the concepts of N-tire hosted application architectures 
(web/applications/database), load balancing, firewalls, and related topics

- Experience in 2nd and 3rd line support of at least one different hosted application, having been through at least two deployments of new or upgraded releases of the application

- A Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
