Senior Business Analyst - SAP

Job Summary

The role of the Senior Business Analyst SAP FICO is to coordinate and lead the analysis function for the SPX European Shared Service Centre and to be able to design or enhance systems with an understanding of applying best practices within the organisation. Requires the ability to evaluate business processes, develop business requirements and to design logical and/or technical solutions to resolve defined business issues.

Responsibilities

Provide project management, pre-implementation and implementation guidance, training and support for new employees
Work collaboratively with the Finance Team, Business team and regional support hubs (local IT team) and management team to prioritise projects and issues in the FICO area.
Lead meetings with appropriate personnel to understand and resolve business issues.
Provide timely and effective Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 production support to SAP users throughout SPX and problems identified, responded to, resolved and escalated within agreed timelines.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of global functional SAP standards and monitoring of adherence to these by regional IT Support, as well as by 3rd parties engaged in performing SAP related activities.
Provide and leverage best practices in SAP solution and service delivery
Ensure that SAP Functional activities maximise the use and adoption of standard SAP solutions and minimise the ongoing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for maintenance and upgrade of the SAP solution.
Contribute to the provision of a robust, reliable and effective SAP system for SPX European Shared Service Centre users; by ensuring all relevant steps of SDLC are followed.
Configure and enhance the use of the SAP application in the functional area through projects and minor enhancements, in response to business needs.
Coordinate with the ABAP Technical team to customise SAP as required
Prepare user documentation and training materials and conducts group or one-on-one training sessions in the use of SAP FICO area.

Qualifications

Experience working in an application implementation, analysis, or support role.
BS Degree in Information systems or a relevant field, or equivalent.
Extensive IT or equivalent business experience, including SAP experience, which should include multiple implementation projects as well as exposure to an SAP support environment.
Experience as a functional team member covering various facets of Finance, Accounting and Controlling.
SAP FICO certification is preferred
Strong Communication and presentation skills
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity, multiple priorities and stretching goals
Must possess proven initiative, excellent organisational skills, and willingness to adapt.
