JOB DESCRIPTION:
IT/IS Technician
Temple/Killeen TX area
Direct Hire/Perm

We are currently seeking an information system technician to join a local area manufacturing firm. This IS (Information Systems) Technician installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to company computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical assistance and training to system users by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software and Microsoft Office applications.
The ideally qualified candidate will bring with them the following experience:
Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in a computer technology or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software is preferred.
Strong interpersonal/communication skills with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users effectively.
Previous desktop support, IS technician, IT Support experience is required.
