Systems Engineer

A Systems Engineer position is part of a team responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining systems at  Bank. This job position would be responsible for configuring systems, servers and applications and provide Tier 3 application support. The position would be tasked with researching, analyzing, and recommending infrastructure solutions and enhancements. The position requires the ability to systematically isolate technical issues. As a Systems Engineer the candidate must provide outstanding technical support to our clients. The position requires sharing rotation on call duties after hours and weekends from time-to-time to respond to emergency outages of systems.
Job Duties:

• Provide Tier III support.
• Assist with system solution designs
• Implement and maintain enterprise-class systems
• Coordinate internal systems projects as needed.
• Perform system upgrades as needed.
• Physical environment planning and review.
• Maintain and monitor health of systems, configuration, or other procedures
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
• Research and recommend performance tuning, hardware upgrades and system optimization

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities required
• 3+ years experience in system or network engineering in a mid-size company with a proven track record of success
• BCA degree in Computer Science or equivolent
• Preferred MCP/MCSE Certification
• Strong experience with VMWare, SQL, Windows operating systems, clustering, and load balancing
• Experience with enterprise-class SAN preferred
• Experience supporting enterprise-class systems
• Experience with SCOM and SCCM preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Positive attitude

Ability to demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and apply to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Must be able to keep up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual required or job-specific training.
